Tonight I checked in on one of my favorite old blogs, The Vigilant Citizen, and was happy to see front and center an article about the Age of Aquarius. I think this piece is a great introduction to the turning of ages and gives a good idea of where we may be at now on the timeline.
The comments section on this site is always super interesting too, and just like pretty much any discussion about the Age of Aquarius, the point was brought up that because our current culture is so open to conflicting concepts like gay marriage, spirituality, and an overall "do as you will" lifestyle doesn't mean that it is a sign we are entering a new age; all of which are the opposite of where we've been in recent history.
Astrological concepts are always easy to dismiss as relative and can be applied to any context, but I do think that these cultural shifts becoming so widely accepted worldwide and mixed in to our cutting-edge technology does in fact warrant some credence to think that "maybe this time it's different...".
